Heathcote
We have chosen Heathcote because it is a place of clarity and structure. The ancient Cambrian soils, rich in ironstone and naturally low in vigour, produce fruit of concentration without excess. Tannin develops with definition, acidity remains intact, and flavour builds slowly and precisely through the season.
Heathcote offers consistency, but not uniformity. Each site carries its own nuance, yet the region shares a natural tension between ripeness and restraint — a balance that aligns closely with our philosophy. The warmth of the days is tempered by cool nights, allowing fruit to reach physiological maturity while preserving freshness and shape.
For us, Heathcote is not about power. It is about structure, line, and integrity. The wines speak clearly of site, offering depth without heaviness and generosity without compromise.
